On February 2, 2023, the board of The Eleuthera Chamber of Commerce (ECC) announced the appointment of Audrey Tynes as its new Executive Director, effective 27th February 2023.

Audrey was born and grew up in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. She began her professional career in the financial sector where she spent many years as a banker before leaving to pursue her interest in the tourism industry.
She excelled in such positions as Front Desk Manager, Office Manager and also Manager of the Events department at various resorts across the islands of the Bahamas. It was during this time that Audrey had the opportunity to host and interact with local chambers of commerce, leading to a keen interest in the same.
A true daughter of the soil, Audrey returned home to Eleuthera, initially as the manager for two of the country’s leading wines and spirits companies. Most recently Audrey was General Manager at one of the three international airports in Eleuthera, until such time as she took on the role of Executive Director of the Eleuthera Chamber of Commerce.

In her role at the Eleuthera Chamber of Commerce, Audrey endeavors to build the public’s confidence in the business community of Eleuthera, as the entire island welcomes the economic boom that is currently happening on the island.
