Interns
Abroad Program
The 'Interns Abroad' program seeks to address the current skills gap by offering locals the opportunity to get international experience in their chosen field (e.g. Construction, Finance/ Accounting, Information Technology, etc).
The program will be free of charge for participants and will range from 2 weeks to one month in length. Once launched, it is hoped that annually this program will afford up to 20 Bahamians an opportunity to intern abroad.
How it will work
-
Eleuthera Chamber of Commerces (ECC) members will nominate potential candidates to the 'Interns Abroad' Committee of the ECC.
-
The Committee will review nominations quarterly and vet potential candidates.
-
Successful candidates selected for the program will be matched with an identified international program sponsor with the means to support the candidate.
-
The ECC, with the support of its partners, will cover the travel cost, accommodations and per diem for successful candidates.
