Successful Holiday Mix & Mingle Event

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, Eleuthera Chamber of Commerce (ECC) held its Holiday Mix and Mingle event at the La Bougainvillea property. The event, which brought together more than 60 persons from throughout Eleuthera, offered a wonderful opportunity for the island's business community to kick off the holiday season. In addition to business persons from around the island, guests also included leaders from the utility company, law enforcement, and island administration.

The event's major sponsor was REV/Cable Bahamas, who announced their partnership with ALIV and their latest 'Business in a Box' offer. Bristol Cellars, another event sponsor, showcased their Beringer, Menage A Trois, and Sutter Home wine brands throughout the night.

Before ending the evening, ECC President, Mr. Thomas Sands, provided brief remarks. He acknowledged the ECC's board of directors and new executive director. He also thanked the event's sponsors for their support and extended special thanks to Bob and Kathy Colman for their continued support of the ECC. Mr. Sands used the opportunity to update attendees on the ECC's Innovation Hub (I-Hub) initiative. He indicated that, once complete, the I-Hub will bring together businesses of all sizes under one roof. He also shared that the I-Hub would provide the ECC with a sustainable business model that will finance it's ongoing operation as well as its programs, like the interns abroad program.

Attendees who were not yet members of the ECC were encouraged to join, as membership is free for the remainder of the year.
